I am not a historian and I don't have detailed knowledge of the history of the Israeli and Palestine conflict but I am quite confident I can understand the related anguish and desperation of people.

The Israelis don't feel secure at home because of suicidal Palestine bombings and therefore in self defense they have been occupying again the Palestine territories, they have been bombing buildings and properties, they have been killing people, they have been rounding up young and old people, they have been invading into private homes, and all of this has occurred under the eyes of Palestine children.

Is this the way Prime Minister Sharon is going to win the war against further suicidal Palestine bombings? Just imagine being one of those children experiencing the sound of tanks rolling by their homes, experiencing the smashing of their homes, experiencing the arresting or killing of their parents, of their brothers or sisters or their friends, experiencing the brutalities and obscenities of Israeli soldiers.

President George Bush and Prime Minister Ariel Sharon agree that Israelis have the right to self defense and therefore, as they say, they have the right to eradicate terrorism in the Palestine territories. However, we must all understand that there is no such a thing as a Palestine state as Israelis have occupied land belonging to Palestinians and as Israelis have continued their territorial expansion with the establishment of Israeli settlements in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

There will not be peace in the Middle East as long as Israeli tanks roll on Palestine land and as long as there is no Palestine state.
