I have learned few days ago that the Saskatchewan Coalition Against
No Fault insurance will stage a demonstration this July 4, 1:00 PM,
at the Legislature Building in Regina to protest Bill 57 'Choice No
Fault', that is a new insurance legislation which includes No Fault
and the alternative option of a Tort system.
We have covered quite extensively the pitfalls of Saskatchewan's
No Fault insurance and no matter what our government and our
corporate gurus are saying what matters is what we expressed in June
2000, that is "No-Fault is not an administrative matter,
it is a political matter, it affects all of us."
We are witnessing the widespread corruption in our political,
business and economic system and this is the result of the preaching
of the gospel of the Free Market under the social credo of unbridled
Greed. Greed is the omnipresent value system of the Free Market, and
Greed has been institutionalized in our legal system as our sold out
gurus have been correlating (and equating) Accounting and Economics
to Law.
We don't need the Law anymore for pursuing justice as the Law has
become the efficient vehicle to optimize the scarce social resources
in accordance to the so-called demand and supply of the market
place. And so the Government of Saskatchewan is planning the passage
of Bill 57 to optimize our auto insurance in accordance to the
accounting and economic gurus of our corporate Saskatchewan
Government Insurance (SGI). And if the implementation of Bill 57
will not be enough to optimize the accounting and economics of auto
insurance, then our government will use its managerial techniques of
spying and lying on claimants and people at large.
Lorie Terry, spokesperson for the Coalition Against No Fault
insurance, has recently stated
"We do not believe that SGI has any intentions of letting
Tort succeed, but that to the contrary will sabotage the tort
program by raising premiums making it an unaffordable two tiered
system, which will again take away the rights of Saskatchewan
citizens."
I agree with Lorie Terry. This government will give us the choice
of No Fault along with the option of a Tort system, but in the end,
we can't trust this Saskatchewan Government as they continue to spy
and lie on us.
