As the government is unable to do its work we have yet another
commission to review medicare in the province and define a new
vision. Today, Premier Roy Romanow has announced the creation of The
Commission on Medicare, and has appointed health consultant Ken Fyke
			as chair of this commission(1).
The creation of this commission comes as the Coalition Against
No-fault Insurance(2) is doing the job for the No-Fault governmental
review, and as people in rural Saskatchewan are taking over the
maintenance of rural roads from the government(3). This government
doesn't understand yet that a vision can only be built with the
trust and emotional involvement of the people and their leaders. A
vision is not built by bringing in another expert and coming up with
			another number.
We got a number from Neil Gardner(4) when he became the major
architect of the Saskatchewan Health Information Network, we got
another number from Louise Simard(5), new CEO of the Saskatchewan
Association of Health Organizations (SAHO), we got another number
from Dr. Steven Lewis(6), former CEO of Health Services Utilization
and Research Commission (HSURC) of Saskatchewan, we got many numbers
from Brian Rourke(7), fixed chair of SAHO, we got many numbers from
Minister of Health Pat Atkinson(8), we got more numbers from health
consultant Bert Boyd(9), and we got the last phony numbers from Dr.
David Cassidy's study on whiplash injuries(10).
Please Premier Romanow, stop the number game, stop your no-fault
government, stop this alienation from the people(11), stop the
double talking of your ministers(12) and stop managing by the number
			game.
