I am a Canadian, free to speak without fear, free to worship in my own way, free to stand for what I think right, free to oppose what I believe wrong, and free to choose those who shall govern my country.” - -The Rt. Hon. John Diefenbaker, Canadian Bill of Rights, 1960

The whole judicial system is at issue, it's worth more than one person.”--Serge Kujawa, Saskatchewan Crown Prosecutor, 1991

My life is mostly indoor at my home office and at this time as my wife Sharon has moved to Prince Albert to work I have been left alone in the cold and without a car in Nipawin. So, when my friend Timothy Shire, Publisher of Ensign, asked me to take few pictures for the opening ceremony of the building purchased by the local Metis Association I volunteered and I reached today the building by bike.

The building, located at 210-1st Street West in Nipawin, is quite nice and there is lots of space to run workshops, conferences, and outreach educational programs.

The largest room is a squash/racquetball court and this reminded me of my past time when stronger and younger I would play these games.

Some fifty people attended the ceremony for the opening of the building and best wishes were delivered by Kathy Palidwar, President of the local Metis association, Glen Day, Mayor of Nipawin, and Carl Kwiatkowski, local MLA representative. The pictures tell the rest of the story.
